Hepatitis
The word "hepatitis" means inflammation of the liver. In the US, the most common types are Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C.
These diseases are caused by three different viruses. Heavy alcohol use, toxins, some medications and certain medical conditions can also cause hepatitis. Although each can cause similar symptoms, they have different modes of transmission and can affect the liver differently.
