Public Health Grand Rounds

The Department of Health's Public Health Grand Rounds series features presentations about significant public health issues and the challenges they pose. This series is intended to promote a dialogue within the department and with the Vermont professional community. Grand Rounds is open to the public.

Public Health Grand Rounds present case histories to illustrate the clinical presentation of a disease, to provide a context in which participants can review basic information, and focus discussion on several possible ways to frame and address a problem. Specialists present perspectives on the etiology, diagnosis, prognosis and treatment plan for a patient's presenting problem. This educational format is used in a variety of professions.

Alcohol and Drug Abuse Programs - Training & Education

The Training & Addiction Education Services Unit (TAESU) provides education and training opportunities for substance abuse professionals, government agencies, private businesses, medical and judicial professionals and the general public.

TAESU also provides information on state and national trainings and conferences, sponsors an annual Substance Abuse Conference, manages the division’s training contractor (Vermont Consortium of Addiction Training) and coordinates Vermont’s scholarships to the New England Institute of Addiction Studies summer schools.
